Deaf man arrested for attacking deputies, EMT in Winter Haven

  • The incident started when deputies detained Jeremiah Manning Monday night on behalf of the Winter Haven Police Department in connection with a hit-and-run investigation.
  • The arrest report states Manning also walked into the deputy, who put a hand on Mannings chest to try and make him stop.
  • After Manning was put in handcuffs and placed in the deputys patrol car, the arrest report states he tried to bite the deputy.
  • The deputy then drove Manning to Winter Haven Hospital for medical clearance.
  • After they arrived, the arrest report states Manning started grabbing two deputies and pulling things off one of their uniforms.
