Location: Florham Park, NJ OR Culver City, CA Hours: 9-5pm, OT may be required as needed We have a great temp-perm opportunity with a long-standing client in the manufacturing industry for a Traffic Administrator. The Traffic Administrator primarily performs tasks related to the efficient processing and handling of customer purchased goods.
Job ResponsibilitiesCreate AS400 packing lists for ocean and courier shipments. Create and assemble commercial documents for customer handled sales shipments and sales shipments to Canada. Create and manage traffic reports for tracking inbound/outbound shipments to ensure all order are delivered on-time. Responsible for creating and obtaining customer approvals on air freight authorizations (AFA). Assist Traffic Operations Manager with customer invoicing. Assist and back-up Distribution Coordinator and Traffic and Production Coordinator in their job duties. Respond to customer service representative inquiries. Back-up receptionist as needed. Assist with other projects as needed.
Position RequirementsHigh School diploma, college courses in accounting a plus. Thorough knowledge of applicable traffic procedures. Excellent analytical and organization skills. Strong problem solving, documentation and research skills, basic accounting principles knowledge. Attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Able to manage tight deadlines and prioritize projects within those deadlines. Energetic/positive attitude. Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. Intermediate level knowledge of Excel and Word.
