We have an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer where your primary responsibility is the hands-on daily operations of MPIrsquos IT systems, with special attention given to storage and backup solutions. This includes a fully virtualized compute environment, a secondary off-site data center, Microsoft Windows enterprise management, and other typical enterprise IT technologies.
QualificationsBachelorrsquos Degree or equivalent work experience Demonstrated experience with enterprise-class tools and technologies, front-line troubleshooting, and customer support Experience implementing, managing, maintaining, and operating the following technologies Microsoft (MS) Windows servers 2008 -2016 MS Active Directory for enterprises with 400 identities VMWare ESXi, vROps, NSX, vCenter, and Horizon (or similar technologies) Splunk and other logging technologies Enterprise-wide system patching Previous experience conducting a daily systems operation process to ensure systems retain highshy-availability and to prevent issues before they occur Working knowledge of enterprise-wide change management process History of managing deploymentsrollouts Experience working with vendor technical support and professional services Excellent attendance and reliability, with the ability to work overtimeextended hours as required Your responsibilities would include Prime responsibility for MPI's fibre-channel storage area network, attached Pure storage, and our Commvault backup system Being the first escalation point for technical issues that cannot be solved at the help desk level and be responsible for working these issues to conclusion Working closely with business units and application developers to develop and implement business processes across the enterprise and with our business partners Responsibility for daily performance of the enterprise storage system Availability to work evenings and weekends on occasion as operational needs and new deployments demand Perform other duties as assigned Submissions will be reviewed only candidates most closely matching the requirements of the position will be contacted.
