Bridge participants are not eligible for compensation from GDIT, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.

Bridge Internship is an opportunity for service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training and through individual internships during the last 180 days of military service. Your unit Commander must authorize participation in GDIT's Skill.
Bridge Internship Program prior to start of internship.

GDIT is looking for Systems Administrators that holds TS/SCI with Poly clearance for positions located in Reston, VA or Redmond, WA. GDIT has partnered with Microsoft in support of Microsofts Government Cloud Collaboration Center (GC3) that provides end-to-end operational support for the Azure core and Office365 platform. Operational support is comprised of three teams: Livesite, Network Management, and Customer Reported Incidents. These teams span across various product groups, including Azure, Active Directory (AAD), and Office365.
Essential Job Functions:
- Demonstrated experience diagnosing/debugging faults in complex services or distributed systems
- Working knowledge of enterprise network gear including routers, switches, and load balancers
- Working knowledge of enterprise routing protocols and IP subnetting
- Experience using common diagnostic tools like Netmon, WinDBG, and Wireshark
- Experience with Power.
Shell, SQL, and Python scripting - Able to diagnose and mitigate faults
- Able to identify and drive recovery levers with feature teams
- Able to communicate effectively through written and oral English
- Able to interact with external customers & partners on behalf of Microsoft
- Ability to perform work under continuous deadline pressure
Positions are available at the following three levels:
Systems Administrator I
- Bachelor's Degree in a similar field or equivalent combination of IT training and practical IT experience
- Must hold active TS/SCI with Poly
- Must be open to shift work as 24/7 support is needed
Systems Administrator II
- Bachelor's Degree in a similar field or equivalent combination of IT training and practical IT experience
- 2+ years of experience diagnosing/debugging faults in complex online services
- Demonstrated ability to identify and script automatable problems
- Must hold active TS/SCI with Poly
- Must be open to shift work as 24/7 support is needed
Systems Administrator Lead
- Bachelor's Degree in a similar field or equivalent combination of IT training and practical IT experience
- 6+ years of experience diagnosing/debugging faults in complex online services
- Demonstrated ability to identify and script automatable problems
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams while performing on-shift individual contributor work
- Must hold active TS/SCI with Poly
- Must be open to shift work as 24/7 support is needed

Bridge Minimum
Requirements
- Currently serving on Active Duty in the U.S. Armed Forces
- Service member must have completed at least 180 days on active duty
- Be expected to be discharged or released from active duty within 180 days of starting their internship
- Will receive an honorable discharge
- Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS
- Received Unit Commander approval to participate in DoD Skill.
