Sales Program Manager

The Company: Brewer's Supply Group (BSG), a subsidiary of Rahr Corporation, supports the craft beer, wine and distilling industries as a one-stop shop for industry related supplies and ingredients.
Rahr Corporation (Rahr) is a family-owned global leader in the production and distribution of barley malt and related brewing supplies in operation since 1847.

JOB SUMMARY: In support of long-term growth and sustainability, the Sales Program Manager will create long term value for BSG by offering support to the Sales, Marketing and Customer Service departments.
The SPM will be the key driver in the initial support and development of BSG's customer-centric programs within specific regions.
They will develop programmatic benchmarks to ensure the highest response from the market is obtained, while identifying strategizes to work with current customers who are underutilizing BSG's products and services.
The position will leverage BSG's unique reputation, quality, and service to align existing and new customers to the pilot program and reach its goals.
The position will also identify forward business opportunities, assist with local events and perform other sales activities as requested.
The Sales Program Manager will work with BSG Commercial Team to establish and maintain a current portfolio of relevant marketing collateral and execute deliverables for our new customer-centric pilot program.
It is critical to provide creativity and innovation managing the program froward.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute and develop strategy alongside Western US Sales Director and Commercial Team to successfully lead, identify opportunities for and develop metrics of success around our customer-centric pilot program, within the Mountain South Region.
  • Manage, conduct reviews of, and work closely with senior stakeholders to develop forward selling and customer retention programs
  • Build strong relationships with business owners and cross functional company stakeholders within Rahr Malting and BSG
  • Partner with Marketing and/or execute social media content development to benefit and grow the program
  • Develop concise and clear reports on program progress, be able to speak to pain points and offer assessments to improve the program
  • Support the Western US Sales Director by assisting with event development and marketing that amplifies BSG's pilot program and strengthens BSG's market presence
  • Manage select customer accounts within the territory, actively pursuing opportunities to sell malt, hops and brewing ingredients
  • Utilize industry media - newsletters, magazines, blogs, etc.
    to identify and contact new customers to establish a positive introduction to BSG with the goal of cultivating new business
  • Maintain a standardized collection of information (both digital and physical) to present to potential customers
  • Account management working within the salesforce to ensure accounts are maintained and tracked
  • Closely monitor industry expansion and/or contraction.
    Report on emerging business possibilities within region
  • Participate in the development of effective sales and marketing tools

MINIMUM EDUCATION & WORK

REQUIREMENTS

  • College Diploma or University Degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum three years' experience in a customer service or selling leadership role.
  • Must possess extensive knowledge of brewing industry, customer segments and products.
  • Experience with existing selling methods, tactics and strategies.

  • Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers and decimals.
    Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, interest and percentages.
  • Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts and draw any conclusions.
  • Should be proficient in Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Power.
    Point, Excel, Outlook). Should be proficient with Adobe acrobat, web browsers and general social media platforms.
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
