Sales Coach

Vanguard s Relationship Management and Sales (RMS) team has an exciting opening for a Sales Coach to join our Malvern, PA and our Charlotte, NC team!
This team has been instrumental in helping RMS employees adopt and reinforce the RMS Professional Selling and Professional Coaching skills, also known as Miller Heiman selling skills. In this role you will work cross site encouraging all levels of individual contributors and managers to follow this sales process while continuing to develop selling skills and improve employee performance throughout the sales process. As a team you will be looking out for the best interest of our clients. What does the ideal candidate look like?
Strong experience in sales with demonstrated ability and passion for coaching at all levels. Able to build relationships with employees at all levels with ease and comfort, and have the ability to influence stakeholders. Strong ability to assess talent and sales skills, identify strengths and areas for improvement and provide actionable feedback. Analyze department and segment data to measure sales skills proficiency, identify trends, and create scalable solutions that focuses on skill building. Serve as a role model to others in terms of sales skill mastery, sales coaching techniques, and creating a high performing sales culture. In this role you will: Provide consistent coaching and guidance to RMS leaders and crew to strengthen sales acumen, behaviors, and overall Professional Selling Skills powered by Miller Heiman. Ability to do this in an office or virtual environment.
Facilitate and support leader call calibration sessions to increase leader coaching proficiency and drive consistency in expectations and coaching across RMSMaintain deep expertise in the Miller Heiman sales concepts and tools.
Maintain deep expertise in sales coaching best practices.
Analyze sales performance data (assessments, call scores, performance data, coaching observations) to identify trends, problem solve, and create action plans that increase skill proficiency and outcomes tied to business goals. Ability to influence crew, leaders, stakeholders, and senior audiences toward change.
Consistently partner with leaders of leaders to provide updates on coaching activities, salesprocess adoption, and team trends. Participate in onboarding new leaders by upskilling them in the Miller Heiman Professional Selling Skills and Professional Sales Coaching.
Serves as subject matter expert of Vanguard businesses, products and services.
Innovates and implements tools, resources and best practices to empower leaders and crew.
Collaborates with key thought leaders on coaching strategy to align with RMS and segment specific goals.
What it takes: Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of experience and training. Graduate degree or a CIMA, CFA or CFP designation preferred. Minimum of five years related sales experience. Demonstrated executive presence, poise and presentation skills. Solid foundations of investment management principles and ability to learn and adapt to Vanguard methodology. Thorough knowledge of Vanguard's funds and services preferred. Strong knowledge of the competitive environment preferred. Exceptional leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Superior oral and written communication skills. Strong sales and influence skills. Demonstrated client relationship management and project management skills. Ability to work quickly and independently with attention to detail and sensitivity to deadlines. Proven ability to identify opportunities and execute solutions both strategically and tactically. Proven ability to develop innovative solutions to complex client situations. Proven ability to successfully develop strong working relationships with crew and management within Vanguard. Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.
