About this opportunity: Were looking for a self-motivated professional, experienced in roadway design and development of preliminary and final transportation design plans.

The Project Engineer in the Colorado Springs office will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead and mentor junior transportation staff in the development of roadway design plans

  • Assist in the preparation of project reports

  • Communicate well when interacting with clients and team members

  • Develop and produce conceptual, preliminary and final roadway design drawings

  • Prepare roadway plans, detail drawings, and project specifications

  • Review roadway plans, performing horizontal and vertical roadway alignment calculations and utility research and coordination

  • Perform quantity calculations

Minimum

Required Qualifications

  • Possess a BSCE and 5 plusyears of prior experience in roadway and drainage design

  • Obtain a solid understanding of roadway design principles as well as a working knowledge of highway safety principles and methodology

  • You should have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally within a quickly growing Colorado Springs office.

  • Experience in various aspects of transportation design including roadway design, drainage design, pedestrian and bike facility design, permitting, signing and pavement marking design

  • PE required

  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively

  • Demonstrated attributes of initiative, resourcefulness, and commitment

  • Deep working knowledge of and experience using, Micro.
    Station, Geopak, AutoCAD Civil 3D
