Job Summary

The Quality Control Technician is of great significance to Plant Therapy.
A person in this position is responsible for performing inspections, pulling samples for review of finished product, and documenting findings to ensure compliance with the high-quality standards set in place by Plant Therapy.

Essential Functions:

• Understand Good Manufacturing Practices
• Performing staging checks for production lines to ensure the correct products pulled match the Bill of Materials
• Performing line checks before, during, and after the production run to ensure accurate fill levels are being done, the correct labels were used, caps were placed on correctly, etc.
• Pulling random samples for testing and label checks
• Maintain daily audit records and files that can be accessed easily
• Investigate questionable products or ingredients and reporting any non-conformances
• Help ensure FIFO is being performed for inventory purposes
• Responsible for reviewing and releasing finished product for fulfillment
• Perform checks during any line change over of product and/or labels
• Work with the Blending Team to verify that procedures are being followed according to SOPs and performing sign offs on Bill of Materials/Work Orders
• Work with the Blending Team on new product test batches to keep notes on the processes being performed and any changes made
• Help to maintain and manage a QA retention sample system
• Perform analytical and microbiological testing
• Assist in authoring and carrying out Standard Operation Procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous QC experience
• Knowledge and experience in cGMP
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Communication skills
