Senior Project Manager- Construction- Chicago

Description

Direct and supervise work of project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operational priorities Produce all elements of project execution plan and implement Provide jobsite leadership in the area of safety and quality Maintain satisfactory relationships with owners, subcontractors, unions, etc.
Scheduling construction projects in logical steps and budgeting time required to meet deadlines.
Preparing and submitting budget estimates, progress reports and cost tracking reports.
Building and maintaining relationships critical to the success of the overall project and company.
Oversee the successful management of construction projects. Provide leadership to the Design.
Build team with respect to project goals, objectives and client expectations Bacheloraposs Degree, preferably in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management 12-18+ years of experience in Construction, experience managing multiple projects at a time TI and ground-up experience with Light Industrial projects Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical.
Working knowledge of commercial construction technology and details. Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients. My client is a veteran owned business that primarily constructs Federal buildings. It is a smaller company but there is a collaborative work environment where there is tremendous opportunity to grow within the company. The projects they work on are usually long term and they have a pipeline of jobs that will take them into the coming years.
Competitive base salary between 125,000-165,000 depending on project experience and skills Bonus based on performance Vehicle allowance(500month) Comprehensive benefits package 15 PTO Days 15 Paid Holidays with Summer Fridays 401(k) with 5 company match Gas card Per diem Bonus for traveling 10 increase on the base salary for 16 months while traveling the 1-2 days per week
