Office 365 Engineer

Office 365 Specialist that will support both the on-premises, and cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic design and operational management of the IT environment. This position requires excellent technical skills and proven attention to details, process, and discipline within a production environment. Experience in managing transitions between on-premises solutions and internet cloud-based solutions (Microsoft 365 suite), as well as experience administering licensing and entitlements within an M365 tenant are critical to success.


Provides comprehensive designs to address the companyrsquos strategies, evaluates emerging technologies, develops and implements systems architectures based on best practices. Ensures system integrity with regards to security and compliance guidelines. Develops activity plans, time and resource estimates and cost benefit analyses for planned activities. Ensures that changes and enhancements are carried out properly and on a timely basis. Works closely with development, network, and support teams in implementation of infrastructure and cloud components supporting emerging technologies and applications. Prepares activity and progress reports for projects ensuring issues are properly escalated and resolved to maintain delivery schedule, project cost, and desired results. Prepares projections based on current utilization, licensing, and status for the Firms various subscription services and contracts. Ensure proper deployment, management, support and training of existing and new O365 service offerings. Serve as a knowledge expert on Microsoft O365 applications, advising on best practices of use and third-party integrations. Understand business goals and drivers and translate those into appropriate technical solutions. Administer the O365 Portal and monitor for alerts, status, etc. from Microsoft. Respond and resolve to incidents and support requests involving the Microsoft O365 suite of products in a timely manner. Provide technology leadership in the management of centralized directories (such as LDAP, AD, AAD) to ensure flexible but granular security levels when applied to organizational data, system processes, organizational employees, and consultantsvendors. Develop, audit and enforce Information Rights Management (IRM) and Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) policies to protect organizational data. Ensure adherence to established data retention policies (DRP) while ensuring the availability of data for supporting e
- Discovery requirements. Recommend and assist in the implementation of security solutions to mitigate or stop potential impacts of Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), malware, SPAM Phishing across various attack vectors. Develop and facilitate training and documentation for new services or capabilities in Microsoft O365. Stay abreast of changes and new releases to the O365 suite, learning them, and implementing as appropriate.


A minimum of 5 years of experience with technologies such as Microsoft Office Suite of products, Office 365, Share.
Point, Teams, Exchange and others. Server and Desktop hardware experience required, with an emphasis on Dell equipment Experience configuring and supporting current Microsoft product family. (Windows 10, Server 2016, Server 2019) Adept at assisting organizations in establishing Office 365 Governance strategy and plans maximizing value from platform investments. Experienced, highly technical, and motivated individual, capable of designing and managing both desktop and server environments. Clear and efficient communications both with technical peers and management. Demonstrated mentoring experience to ensure that designs are executed upon and supported appropriately. Demonstrates a passion for innovation. The ability to multitask and handle a fast pace environment Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with internal customers, as well as partnering with the broader teams providing the best tools, support, and solutions for the organization. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to listen to the user's concerns, identify problems and develop a plan for resolving. Good documentation skills Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills Preferred educationexperience College degree in related field A certification Microsoft certification(s) Experience with service desk ticketing system
