Registered Nurse

At Ontario ARC of Canandaigua, NY , a Human Services Agency, we are currently hiring a full-time Registered Nurse . In this role, you will coordinate and assist with health care provision and education of individuals with disabilities in a variety of assigned programs, providing staff education in health related areas, while working in a casual atmosphere, with a comfortable dress code and real work-life balance.

The work schedule for our Residential Services RN's is Monday through Friday (8 a.m. to 4 p.m., no weekends), with flexibility to meet program needs. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A REGISTERED NURSE

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the supervision, coordination and provision of health care and nursing services to individuals supported by Ontario ARC. Responsible for oversight of medication administration in a variety of agency program settings. Maintains medical and health related information. Provides counseling in individual and group settings on the maintenance of health, prevention of illness and disability and the management of chronic disease. Works with family members and staff, or other parties to enhance effectiveness of treatment.

POSITION

REQUIREMENTS

RN currently registered by the NYS Department of Education, with a minimum of two years experience performing or participating in assessments and treatment planning. Experience with developmental disabilities preferred, but not required.
