Wound Care Registered Nurse RN Full Time
Position SummaryThe Wound Care Registered Nurse, under the direct supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer designee and in collaboration with providers, provides patients with care that is continuously evaluated, planned for, and revised as needed. The Wound Care (WC) RN conducts all required wound care activities according to hospital policy and national standards. Position Supervisory
ResponsibilitiesWound Care LVN/LPN Wound Care Technician.
QualificationsProjects a professional image.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Knowledge of wound care related products and procedures preferred.
Identification and utilization of industry evidence base standards related to wound care.
Knowledge of comprehensive wound management including wound assessment, formulation of treatment plan, recommendation of appropriate wound dressing, documentation, evaluation, education, data collection, surveillance and outcome data preferred.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions (Order entry, data input etc.)Education and/or
ExperienceGraduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
Minimum one (1) year hospital Medical/Surgical or Rehabilitation experience preferred.
Wound care certification is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Registered Nurse who is currently licensed to practice, in good standing, by the state of employment.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support provider (BLS/CPR) status throughout employmentAHA ACLS required within 180 days of employment; must maintain currency throughout employment.
Certified wound care nurse preferred.
