Clinical Managerial Assistant, Full-Time, Womens Health Center (MOLOKAI GENERAL HOSPITAL)

Responsibilities

Molokai General Hospital, a Queen's Health System Company, is looking for a Full-Time Clinical Managerial Assistant to work in the Women's Health Center (WHC). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, implementing the Midwifery and Family Planning Programs and performing managerial clerical and clinical duties in accordance with prescribed procedures of the Women's Health Center. This includes collaborating and assisting the patient care team to support the coordination of patient care and internal/external resources to ensure that care is provided in a supportive, seamless, and superior customer approach at all times.

Molokai General Hospital is a 15-bed rural health care facility with a Critical Access Hospital designation. It provides the only emergency room for the residents and visitors on the island of Molokai.
MGH became a part of The Queens Health Systems in 1987 and provides acute care, inpatient hospice, skilled nursing, and low-risk obstetrical services. It also offers primary care in a rural health clinic, chemotherapy, limited specialty procedures, diabetes management, family planning, physical therapy (including aquatic therapy), veterans services and chronic disease navigation services.

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direct supervision of the Womens Health Center Manager, implements the Midwifery and Family Planning Programs and performs managerial clerical and clinical duties in accordance with prescribed procedures of the Womens Health Center.
Collaborates and assists patient care team to support the coordination of patient care and internal/external resources to ensure that care is provided in a supportive, seamless, and superior customer approach at all times.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting and carrying weight up to 50 pounds with assistance, pushing/pulling weight up to 20 pounds.
Continuous: standing, walking, stooping/bending, twisting body, sitting, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, frequent gripping of an object.
Operates computer, printer, copier, calculator, telephone, fax, clinical equipment.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Both inside and outside environmental conditions; noise and/or vibration; hazardous physical conditions; atmospheric conditions which affect the respiratory system or the skin.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
High School diploma or the equivalent.
Valid U.S. drivers license required in accordance with Hawaii state law rules and regulations, and ability to drive to presentation site(s) and to/from the office.
BLS/HCP level certification upon hire.

B. EXPERIENCE:
Ability to type 40 wpm.
One (1) year physician clinic or office experience preferred.
Work experience in data collection and input.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to develop a rapport and maintain professional conduct with co-workers, teachers, site administrators, other agencies, etc.
Ability to meet and communicate effectively with people, including establishing and sustaining positive relationships.
Must be professional, detail oriented and know how to follow-through with assigned tasks.
Ability to work independently and with little supervision.
Ability to keep clear, concise records.
Ability to operate a computer, including but not limited to the following applications: Excel, Word, Word Perfect, Power.
Point, Publisher, and Email applications.
