As the Manager of Enterprise AI, within the Communications, AI, and Automation portfolio, you will lead a team of AI Software Engineers to build, integrate, and support highly available, resilient, and secure solutions. We are looking for someone who is passionate about infusing AI into software to create industry-changing solutions that directly contribute to a positive customer and employee experience. This role will partner with Delta's Innovation team and other Business portfolios to design and create AI components for operational use and bring those to life with direct integration with applications and channels. What would you do?
Increase AI adoption within customer and employee facing experiences.
Partner with cross functional business and technology teams to understand business landscape and drive AI opportunities. Lead innovative ideation sessions to solve real-world problems.
Provide technical thought-leadership and direction for AI solutions across a wide range of centralized and distributed environments across the Delta landscape. Bridge gaps between POC trials and industrialized AI-fueled software.
Partner with Architecture, Foundations, and Security teams to pave the way for Delta leverage industrialized design patterns.
Define and measure ROI for solutions.
Fosters open communication by encouraging the expression of ideas and opinions. Assures smooth flowing, timely transmission of critical information. Oral and written communication is well organized, clear, accurate, grammatically correct, and is adapted for the target audience. Listens to others. Help to define and drive team's agile adoption and transition to a fully optimized AI-Engineering squadBe a thought leader on technology and AI, stays ahead of both AI and technical developments in field; knows what new technologies will help the business.
Ensure that new deliverables are thought-out and defined with particular emphasis on dependencies, data/measurement, work break-down structure, scheduling, and resources.
Lead team efforts, delegate tasks, follow up on progress of the team and mentor/coach team members Ensure solutions follow security standards, leverage automation, self-healing, monitoring and alerting Manage all aspects (including coaching, providing direction, staffing, delivering reviews, setting aligned objectives, time reporting, etc.) of direct reports overall performance.
Delivering with Quality and Speed.
Leading teams to implement production AI components associated with the technical designs for product/project teams.
Interact with business and product owners, understanding the product and business domain to engineer solutions that create a competitive advantage.
Sees around corners and down the roadmap; anticipates future consequences for immediate technical choices; has broad knowledge and perspective for the long term.
Technical definition and implementation for detailed measurement data, analytics, error logging/tracking for all products within our domain.
Technical debt resolution, prevention & code reviews.
Analysis and implementation of Performance/Stability/Reliability initiatives.
Monitors metrics, problems, trends, and costs, in order to determine solutions, required process changes, etc. that will make the function more efficient.
Production issue triage, management, and prevention with a focus on continuous improvement

Job Requirements

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)6+ years of work experience in Software Engineering5+ years of work/educational experience in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning.
Cultivates a customer obsessed, positive, outcome-oriented culture of accountability and partnership.
Experience with AI frameworks such as Tensor.
Flow, Microsoft CNTK, scikit, Keras, Caffe, Gluon, Torch, SageMaker, Azure AI. Thorough knowledge of Application development, Micro-services and APIsExpertise in sizing, setting up, and managing teams in the Agile environment.
Expertise in AWS application design, AI offerings, and implementation best practices.
Ability to manage business needs of multiple business functions within the portfolio.
Ability to motivate, and support a strong team of highly productive individual contributors.
Experience in managing Operating and Capital budgets.
Effective Written and Verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Experience developing and supporting business-critical applications.
Experience with agile and cloud target operating models a plus.
Advanced knowledge of one or more development languages (Python, Java) Lambda, S3, Dynamo, SageMaker, Cloudwatch hands on experience.
Experience with APIs and Microservices Extensive knowledge of Java internals, JV
M tuning, and troubleshooting.
Experience with SDET (BDD, TDD, Automation, Agile, and DevOps)Experience with SQL and NoSQL DBMSs Experience in roles that required strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working on Spring Boot Framework, Microservices, API Gateway, JBOSS or other containers, No
- SQL Expertise with Continuous Integration and Delivery models.
Experience with error tracking and troubleshooting critical production systems.
