We are an Amazon Web Services (AWS) team obsessed with helping developers create the highest quality games & simulations, engage massive communities of fans, and connect their content to the vast compute and storage of the cloud. About this roleOur team is growing in support of innovations for both, games and non-gaming customers. We are seeking an experienced Principal Partner Engagement Manager to own, define and drive customer engagement in several related areas, including cloud services, game engines, simulations, rendering and more. This role is an opportunity to join one of Amazon's newest growth areas by leading projects of strategic importance with very high visibility. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, business problem solving, product and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering results with material business impact at scale, working through ambiguity and innovating to deliver revolutionary real-time interactive experiences. In many cases, you may be establishing a new relationship between Amazon and the customer, which require strong sales and self-initiating skills, and the ability to engage C-level executives. Within this role, you will be expected to develop sales strategy, go to market plans and scale solutions and services. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to determine how to meet the needs of envisioned customer experiences. The role will require a high technical acumen and the ability to execute strategy across multiple partner teams. - Develop a scalable strategy to expand 3D engine services into key new categories, including inside and outside Amazon.
- Work across Amazon to define and execute go to market plans for Lumberyard and associated 3D service offerings.
- Be the voice of Lumberyard business with developers and other relevant channel stakeholders.
- Deliver persuasive, passionate, high impact, quality presentations to senior decision makers.
- Advocate internally for developer features and functionality that will help facilitate a world class customer experience.
- Work with product management and engineering to help define short and long term roadmap.
- Create actionable steps to achieve big, ambiguous ideas.
BASIC

QUALIFICATIONS


- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of sales and digital business development experience
- Several years of professional games or 3D development related software engineering experience, with a specialty in physics, rendering, or networking systems architecture and pipeline development
- Extensive experience with roadmap planning while working with multi-discipline teamsPREFERRED

QUALIFICATIONS


- Strong presentation, sales, and negotiation skills; ability to close high value and high profile deals
- Strong technical acumen and the ability to think big to drive product innovation internally
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences at the C level
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Strong ownership and bias for action; ability to internalize goals and work independently to create appropriate action plans for those goals
- Experience with CryEngine or Lumberyard (alternatively Unity, Unreal, or other game engines)
