Mainframe Programmer Analyst

Job Description

The Mainframe Programmer Analyst is the technical engine for development and maintenance of multiple programs using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 and VSAM. The Programmerrsquos current focworkload includes but is not limited to Writes, corrects, and makes modifications to various OIT supported applications across many programming languages and platforms. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively Analyzes, interprets, and presents technology solutions to prepare design specifications in a technically acceptable and cost-effective manner Conducts analyses, interprets research findings, conceives a variety of solutions to functional problems, and reduces abstract ideas to easily understand procedures Develops logical code for efficient program execution. Produces written technical documentation. Qualifications bull Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university AND five years of programming experience bull Knowledge of COBOL, DB2, JCL, Utilities, and DEBUG bull Ability to think analytically bull Ability to work independently Thanks Srikanth.
