SummaryWhat to Expect For this Vivarium Engineer internship, you will work closely with our study technicians and quality team to create and design an approved schematic of a potential replacement for the standard data collection cart. Cart should meet all technician requirements and address current pain points and damage areas. You will also get trained to work with research animals in order to understand what is needed for a successful product.
For reference The Study Technician provides primary care to the animals in the small and large animal toxicology department and performs routine invasive and non-invasive technical procedures on studies allocated to the team while ensuring that procedures are conducted according to protocol, SO
P requirements, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations and the guidelines.
QualificationsWorking towards a bachelor or masters degree in Engineering or related field. Applicants for this role must be a current student.
Strong communication, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and wthin a multidisciplinary team setting
ExperienceMust be comfortable working with research animals Embraces diverse ways of thinking through various forms collaboration and partnership
