DECO, a subsidiary of IDS International, is looking for former Female Corrections Officers to support our contract providing international training and mentorship for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's (KSA) General Directorate of Prisons, more specifically - their women's correctional facilities. Strong candidates will have training instructor experience and with a background in Federal, State, or local level service in Corrections. Staff have access to the US Embassy and are part of the U.S. program team and Embassy community.  These positions will last 4-6 months depending on the course schedule and are located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

Train and instructor courses including: corrections academy instructor certification courses, prisoner classification and intake, prisoner transport and escort, prisoner intelligence unit/security threat group, emergency management and response.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited federal or state corrections training academy. Must be a female, US citizen and able to obtain an MRPT clearance. Minimum of five (5) years' experience in U.S corrections. Minimum of two (2) years' experience working within a training academy or similar setting with a combination of classroom/podium teaching and hands-on, scenario-based instruction. Demonstrated experience as former or current U.S. federal, state or local corrections officer with expertise in one or more of the areas, including topics in the subjects, in which they are instructing (e.g. Prisoner Classification and Intake, Prisoner Transportation and Escort, Prison Intelligence Unit Operations/Security Threat Groups, and Emergency Management and Emergency Response Teams (ERT)).Extensive experience in assessing, mentoring, and training in one or more of the areas in which they are training: Academy Instructor Certification (Instructor Development),Prisoner Classification and Intake,Prisoner Transportation and Escort,Prison Intelligence Unit Operations/Security Threat Groups, and.
Emergency Management and Emergency Response Teams (ERT).Excellent oral and written English communication skills, with proven ability to deliver quality written and visual products and strong interpersonal skills. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power.
Point, and other visual presentation software. Active US Passport.

Preferred Qualifications

Fluent in Arabic. Prior overseas experience.

Most positions require ability to work on a desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time. Additionally, positions require ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; as well as speak and hear. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
