Director, Shopper Based Design HQ

Director, Shopper Based Design HQ YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this role, Director, Shopper Based Design HQ, are to:
+ Lead the development of Category and Shopper Insights Pain/Cardio Category and across all Categories in Bayer portfolio by identifyingopportunities and translating these opportunities into actionablerecommendations externally and internally;
+ Shape and ensure the delivery of category fundamentals across the category and shopper function (shelving principles, category 101s, leadership stories, test and learn, etc.;
+ Further develop Customer relationships and influence decisions through the delivery of solid, strategic, customized Category Leadership Platforms;
+ Identify knowledge gaps and make shopper-based research recommendations for growing Categories and identify gaps in Shopper Research knowledge;
+ Connect Customer strategies to brand strategies;
+ Act as consultant to key Retail partners with focus on Total OTC Department and cross category solutions;
+ Translate and design insights into shopper-based selling recommendations and solutions for the field;
+ Work closely with Shopper Research and outside vendors to identify key research needs and develop comprehensive research plans to address;
+ Collaborate extensively with internal departments (e.g. Brand, Customer Marketing, etc.) to ensure alignment and unified strategic direction;
+ Provide education and training for the organization on a specific.
Category and Cross
- Category/OTC trends, shopper behavior, key learnings and future outlook;
+ Build and develop small number of direct reports, including recruiting,training, and managing high performance culture.

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience in sales and/or marketing roles working in CPG/OTC companies;
+ At least five years' experience in managing/providing direction to external resources including syndicated data vendors, or consultants;
+ Builds effective teams, cultivates innovation, learning and change agility, customer focus, action oriented/drives results, collaborates globally and locally, plans and aligns, drives stakeholder engagement, effectively manages suppliers;
+ Experience designing in-store solutions and shelf design that grows customer categories while delivering BCH share growth;
+ Excellent financial management skills to critically assess strategic goals and cost investments versus results;
+ Ability to streamline operational processes;
+ Experience in a basic understanding of promotion effectiveness and continual improvement on ROIs;
+ Exceptional knowledge of retailer landscape and how to impact the total market;
+ Understand the impact of individual decisions to Bayer's total business and relevant long-term implications;
+ Sales experience with key retailers;
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills;
+ Be able to deliver clear and concise presentations, actionable direction and work well within a matrixed team environment;
+ Proven success with one-on-one customer negotiations;
+ Proven ability to develop win-win solutions to complex situations;
+ Superior problem solving and critical thinking skills demonstrated through multi-task problem solving and practical judgment;
+ Robust analytical capabilities across a variety of data sources and platforms with ability to execute sales planning activities;
+ Advanced computer literacy skill required, specifically M.S.Excel and Power.

+ Ability to travel as necessary or required.

Preferred Qualifications

+ M.B.A.;
+ Experience in Field and HQ organizations as well as prior people management/leadership experience;
+ Experience in sales strategy/operations.
