Director of Human Resources - 1.0
The Director of Human Resources is multi-faceted role with responsibility for assessing, planning, directing, implementing and evaluating all Human Resources related programs and activities for Porter including; development, review and application of Human Resources policies/procedures, maintaining effective employee relations programs and education, accountability for administration of Porter's compensation and benefit programs, design of effective recruitment and retention programs and activities, maintenance of Associate personnel records, ensuring recognition and completion of regulatory and accrediting organization standards, and mentoring of Human Resources Department Associates creating growth opportunities and professional development. Additionally, this position provides oversight of the Porter Associate Health Department and all related functions.
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's Preferred) with at least10years of Healthcare HR Leadership experience in a dynamic, fast paced, evolving health system setting.
- Proficient knowledge of Human Resources Joint Commission accreditation standards and proven success in survey outcomes.
- Current knowledge of Federal and Indiana State Employment Laws.
- Working knowledge of a variety of Human Resources disciplines; recruitment, compensation strategies/practices, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
- Highly effective in ambiguous situations and the ability to produce results with little direction or guidance. Strong organization, communication, interpersonal, presentation, leadership, conflict resolution and project management skills.
- Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner with other healthcare leaders and subject matter experts.
- Significant experience coaching leaders to effectively navigate employee relations challenges.
- Excellent consulting and facilitation skills.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Exhibits sound judgement and effective decision making skills.
- Can effectively cope with change. Easily shift gears.
A track record of doing whatever is needed to get the job done. - Ability to establish and maintain effective relationship s with other management staff, employees and internal and external customers.
- Strong Microsoft office computer skills.
