The Director of Medical Affairs for Congenital Bleeding Disorders (including Hemophilia A, Hemophilia B, Gene Therapy and von Willebrand Disease) within the Hematology Therapeutic Area (TA) is responsible for the development and implementation of global medical strategies that support worldwide commercialization for assigned products within Congenital Bleeding Disorders of the TA. Based on a comprehensive understanding of the science and medical need for Congenital Bleeding Disorders marketed products and pipeline assets, the incumbent will take a leadership role in the definition of medical strategies for in-line products, life cycle management, new products and assessment of strategic business development opportunities.

Responsibilities

;Serve as a key scientific lead and expertise, for Congenital Bleeding Disorders (including Hemophilia A, Hemophilia B, Gene Therapy and von Willebrand Disease) within the Hematology Therapeutic Area (TA), providing editorial, scientific and strategic expertise. Responsible for developing Publication Strategy and overseeing the execution of the Publications for Congenital Bleeding DisordersIn collaboration with Director of Medical

Education

& Communications (Hematology), develop and implement global Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement strategy; Identify and address educational gaps of key stakeholders. Support Market Access projects and provide medical input into access strategy, education of stakeholders, and develop & execute an integrated evidence generation plan.
Oversee development of core educational materials and programs and management of medical education agency. Liaise with Regional representatives and global medical affairs to ensure global implementation of medical activities for Congenital Bleeding Disorders.

Qualifications

PharmD/PhD or MD (preferred). 10 years' pharmaceutical/ biotherapeutics industry experience including experience in therapeutic/specialist area
- Hematology. Sound experience interacting with commercial functions within the healthcare industry.
Proven medical and scientific expertise in Hematology required. Experience and expertise in Gene Therapy is a plus.
