SENIOR MEDICAL STAFF COORDINATOR/SYSTEM ANALYST

Position Summary

Provide technical support to assist the Medical Staffs advancement with the automation of the medical staff processes and responsibilities and compliance with its Bylaws, Rules & Regulations, Policies and Procedures, accreditation standards and regulatory requirements including continuing medical education. Major

Position Responsibilities

Provide staffand users with assistance solving computer related problems, such asmalfunctions and program problems. Test,maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, includingcoordinating the installation of computer programs and systems. Serve as project leader for particular systems projects. Facilitatemedical staff meetings to include generating agendas and minutes withappropriate follow-up. Facilitate theapproval process/implementation of all medical staff governance documents. Manage,implement and assure compliance with accreditation of the medical staffcontinuing medical education program. Review andanalyze data within the system and ability to computer printouts andperformance indicators to locate problems, and correct errors. Evaluate andrecommend new equipment or software products needed to automate processes. Develop & Prepare reports from the database i.e, to pre-populate physicianapplications, and obtain supporting documentation expirations. Preparationof physician demographic changes and terminations and forwarding to allapplicable entities. Provideoversite of special projects as assigned keeping Medical Staff Leadershipinformed of status of work efforts through weekly reports, project statusreports and other reporting as needed.

Automation ofoffice practices.
Ability tomonitor and effectively manage database and all functions pertaining to webcrawlersand overall system maintenanceAbility to work with office management to implement new efficiencies and streamlineprocesses.
Have advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Products.
Have advanced knowledge of running reports from various databases.
Ability toreview/map current processes and work with Medical Staff Leadership todevelop new Lean processes to obtain desired results;Participationin the development and implementation of technology projects, systemimplementations and upgrades, and change initiatives tied to the growthand development within the department.

Qualifications

Minimum of seven (7) yearsprevious related experience in database management with a minimum of five (5) years in the field of medical staff services in an acute healthcare setting. Knowledge of full range ofMedical staff related functions/responsibilities in the acute care setting. Proficiency in all modulesof Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, Publisher and.
Visio, proficiency in query tools and relational databases and basicstatistical skills and training. Proven ability to initiate, communicate and implement plans and ideas to improve overallsystem performance. Highly developedinterpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) tointeract thoughtfully and effectively with others. In-depth knowledge ofaccreditation standards and regulatory requirements. Strong interpersonalskills - builds strong relationships with diverse groups, encouragingaccomplishment of mutually established goals.
Ability to manage multipleongoing projects concurrently; strong organizational capabilities. Knowledge of MD Staffsoftware preferred.

Education

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-relatedfield preferred or comparable work experience. Certifications: Certification as a CPCS, and/or CPMSM preferred or documentation of enrollment to become certified within 6 months of employment. Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen and pre-employment background checks before starting work.
