Control Design & Implementation Lead

Summary

Facebook seeks a highly motivated team player to serve as the Control Design & Implementation Lead within the second line of defense. This person will drive the strategy for the system of controls across Legal as well as work with functions within Legal to design and implement controls. The right candidate will demonstrate deep knowledge and experience in multiple disciplines and compliance domains such as Anti-bribery/Anti-corruption, Fraud, Trade Operations, EH, AML/BSA. This is a great opportunity to join a growing compliance and risk management team to work on novel issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.

Required Skills

1. Implement the strategy and governance for the systems of controls for functions within Legal
2. Work closely with key stakeholders throughout Legal to understand the overall business environment, processes, procedures in order to design, build, and maintain systems of controls across the Legal functions
3. Meaningfully improve control design, and ensure stakeholders such as Validation & Monitoring incorporate new controls and/or updates to controls into ongoing testing
4. Maintain strong communication channels with other groups, including other Compliance leaders, during all facets of interactions, including issue resolution
5. Act as an agent for positive change with agility, adaptability, and flexibility. Embrace change and welcome different viewpoints to solve problems
6. Lead projects across the three lines of defense and with various lines of business (e.g. operations, data, technology, regulatory compliance, internal audit)
7. Provide support to the compliance program on other compliance initiatives, as needed.
Minimum

Qualifications

8. 12 years of experience in a compliance-related practice, including designing controls and control systems
9. 5 years of experience designing and implementing systems of controls10. Experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in financial services, technology, regulatory organization or consulting firm, or a combination thereof11. Experience in automation and machine learning with experience standing up continuous monitoring within an organization12. Analytical thinker with an outcome-based approach and with prioritization skills to deliver on time while juggling responsibilities13. Interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team oriented approach to problem solving14. Experience championing projects, programs, and business initiatives using creativity and ingenuity15. Experience providing practical advice under pressure and prioritizing work16. Experience collaborating with diverse teams to solve problems17. Experience presenting information to varying audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

18. Experience at Internet, technology, or telecommunications companies19. Experience working with or in support of diverse communities20. Experience managing teams.
