KS Engineers, PC (KSE), a multi disciplinary construction and engineering firm with offices in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position:


Senior Construction Inspector / Construction Inspector

- KS Engineers, PC is looking to hire construction inspectors at various NICET levels for our roadway and bridge construction projects in New Jersey and New York area. Successful candidate must possess an active NICET certification with prior construction inspection experience on State and Local governmental projects.

For positions in NJ, prior experience with NJDOT, NJ Turnpike / Garden State Parkway, DRPA, DRJTBC, County and other public sector projects is a plus. Projects located in northern, central and southern New Jersey.

For positions in NY, prior experience with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NYCDDC, NYSTA, TBTA and NYCDEP, and other public sector projects is a plus. Projects located in NY City area, Long Island and NYSDOT Region 8 areas.

Candidate must hold minimum High School Diploma. Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business or a closely-related field is desired. Additional construction certifications such as ACI Grade 1, ACI-CCTC, SAT, TCC, NACE, SSPC, AWS, OSHA 10 Hours, etc. are highly desired. Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Job Requirements


Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written, verbal communication includes contract staff, Resident Engineer, facility staff both in person and via two way communications. Ability to read plans and specs and prepare written contract administration documentation such as daily narratives (work reports), controlled inspection reports, daily time and material records, and document unit price work. Identify potential extra work issues and keep Resident Engineer advised of issues. Prepare estimates of extra work. Prepare related sketches and documentation. Review plans for constructability and prepare comments. Review contractor payment requests and recommend reasonableness to the Resident Engineer.
