Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective: Incumbent is responsible for performing routine operational duties related to commercial lines of credit, commercial construction loans, commercial mortgage loans, participation loans and syndication loans in compliance with the Bank's policies, procedures and related laws and regulations. Conducts participation loan and syndication loan funding and processes payments or advances as directed; reviews and distributes daily and monthly reports. Organizes, reviews loan files forcompleteness, accuracy, and reporting of exception issues. Prepares, executes, and tracts loan information ensuring that all commercial loan data is received,scanned, stored, and managed in compliance with credit policy. This is a clerical position with the incumbent responsible for maintaining commercial loan files. This position also requires a very dedicated, detail oriented, self-starter. He/she will have extensive contact with the commercial operations supervisor, lenders, loan support team, loan administration and credit analyst; and promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Compliance with bank policies and procedures related to assigned duties. Treat every customer with the highest level of professionalism and provide exceptional customer service. Completion of all required internal training programs. Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Daily review of various system exception reports, researching and repairing as necessary. Daily review of interest collected not earned and interest fluctuation reports. Daily review of non-posted transactions reports. Making necessary repairs and working closely with other departments as needed to allow items to clear. Maintain the commercial loan accounting system making sure that payments are posted accurately and billings are generated in an accurate and timely fashion. Weekly review of the notes coming due reports and notifies lenders of such notes. Manage stock portfolio (tracking updates and reporting current values to Loan Administration)Use of SIMPLIFILE for on-line mortgage recording or satisfaction for participating counties. Daily review of transaction within the CL Fees Account and Balance the account monthly.
Review all commercial loan files for proper documentation ensuring banking regulations are followed. Responsible for completing the commercial loan data entry worksheet and entering the information onto Premier, the Bank's Loan Accounting System (LAS). Completing the fee/costs worksheet at time of loan booking and data enter fees/cost and process tickets if required. Verifying new loan disbursements are properly disbursed. Review all commercial loans and verify that all pertinent documentation is in place after closing. Review all designated existing commercial loans and commercial mortgages and work with Lenders and Credit Department to finalize file completion, utilizing theappropriate checklists for file review and follow-up and loan documentation. Review title insurance documents and attorney's opinion documents for accuracy.
Review recorded mortgage documents for accuracy. Possess knowledge of commercial appraisal regulations and guidelines. Review monthly note tickler reports - track and notify lenders of loans with ticklers that need to be addressed. Responsible for carrying out the commercial portfolio's insurance requirements with complete, timely, and accurate information to reduce losses, lender liability and borrower ill will. Utilizing Miniter Group, the force placed insurance program, to protect the bank's interest on this collateral when the borrower fails to maintain proper insurance. Providing informative reports and giving management up to date insurance status. Escrow processing, payments, and review - commercial only. Review the flood hazard determinations ensuring that they are complete, accurate, and timely. Ensuring all provisions of the National Flood Insurance Program are carried out. Carry out Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings, searches, renewals, and related collateral maintenance items. Use of the Pennsylvania Department of States UCC on-line web site when applicable. Ensuring to perfect the lien with the appropriate legal authority, i.e county and/orstate, using the UCC1 financing agreement; and keeping current with the UCC laws and regulations. Review and process paperless titles utilizing VINteKTIME, the fully integrated Electronic Lien and Title management software. Verifying the title and lien information is correct (paper and paperless).Processing of participation loans, construction loans, development loans, speculative home loans, and syndication loans boarding, remittance and reporting.
Processing of Small Business Administration Loans, boarding, remittance and reporting. Stay current on compliance related activity, i.e. Flood, HMDA, CIP, CRA, SBA with research and by attending seminars and reading available information. Assist in the preparation for examiners, auditors, or internal audit. Responsible for the preparation of Promissory Note and/or Mortgage Modification Agreements and the subsequent loan maintenance to Premier. Responsible for maintaining Commercial Letter of Credit files. Other Duties: Cross training with other members of the department to assist with their duties during absences. Functions include but are not limited to: document preparation, review and imaging of new loans, insurance tracking, monthly general ledger reconciliations and paid loan processing. Perform specific projects as assigned. Address lending related inquires from customers as well as other Bank employees including Call Center Staff. Assist in balancing duties.
Scan completed files to AccuSystem. Assist with phone inquiries from internal & external individuals. Others duties as assigned by management to assist in the efficient functioning of the department.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filingcabinets and fax machines. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands tofinger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Community Bank has adopted a 40 hour work week Some flexibility in hours is necessary based on the location assignments, but the employee must be availableduring the "core" work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Generally, less than two years of experience in commercial loan operations or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within loan operations. Additional Eligibility

Qualifications

Strong clerical skills, good communication skills and professional appearance are necessary for this position. Proficiency with a computer, adding machine, copier, fax machine, and other office equipment are required. The ability to learn Premier, AccuSystems and Finastra systems.
