Clinical Psychologist Job

(1)Clinical Psychologist,
Location: Yuma, AZ(roughly 2 Hours From Phoenix,AZ)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Yuma Branch Health Clinic.

Any Active and unrestricted State license accepted.

Hours: Full Time,M-F, scheduled between 0730-1630.

DUTIES

  • Perform a full range of clinical psychology services in accordance with the core privileges and/or supplemental privileges as defined by the Navy and clinic
  • Work closely with clinical staff and/or base personnel regarding patient awareness of mental and behavioral health wellness programs (addictions, stress management, group therapies)
  • Deliver records and reports required to document procedures performed and care provided utilizing the Health Maintenance Strategies Manual (HMSI) standards
  • Serve as advisor and consultant to other staff in the specialized areas of clinical psychology to include comprehensive psychological evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Conduct clinical staff education when requested or warranted to enhance knowledge, understanding, awareness and screening, identification, treatment and monitoring of post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury and other combat and non-combat related disorders.
  • Administer programs of treatment to help medical and surgical patients deal with illness or injuries
  • Assist in treating rehabilitation patients.
  • Treat individuals in times of personal crisis such as a divorce or death of a loved one.
  • Interview patients and study medical and social case histories.
  • Diagnose and evaluate mental and emotional disorders of individuals and administer programs of treatment.
  • Perform services in the clinic' s Medical Home Port

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years postgraduate experience within the last 3 years as a Clinical Psychologist
  • Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited university
  • Successful completion of a psychologist intern program which has been approved by the APA
  • The clinical psychologist will be required to successfully complete the Tri Service Internal Behavioral Health Consultant training or the Tri Service Internal Behavioral Health Care Facilitator training course. This training course must be completed within 90 days of starting.
  • Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a psychologist in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • BLS
  • U.S. Citizenship (for access to Government computers)

Clinical Psychologist in Oceanside, California at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, CA. Hours: Full Time,M-F, scheduled between 0600-1800.

DUTIES

OF THE CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST INCLUDE:

  • Perform a full range of clinical psychology services in accordance with the core privileges and/or supplemental privileges as defined by the Navy and clinic

  • Perform a full range of outpatient psychology services to include diagnostic examinations, the development of comprehensive treatment/diagnostic plans (when indicated), psychological testing, outpatient psychotherapeutic treatment for individuals and family therapy with children, adolescents, and adults; stress/anger management, Attention
    - Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders, family separation issues, crisis intervention and consultation with medical staff on a routine basis.
  • Perform clinical evaluations including administration and interpretation of psychological, neuropsychological, cognitive and personality tests, and provide clinical consultations regarding selection of psychological tests. May be also required to administer neuropsychological assessments and perform clinical evaluation and/or referral based on the neuropsychological assessment tool.
  • Perform mental behavioral health evaluations and provide therapy. Apply and oversee the application of psychological procedures and techniques in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating psychological and neuropsychological disorders. Perform individual and group therapy, behavior modification paradigms, biofeedback procedures, and hypnosis in treating psychological disorders, and in assisting individuals to achieve more effective personal and interpersonal adjustment.
  • Apply psychological interventions in multiple medical clinics and settings to include Pain Clinic, Mental health clinic, and the Wounded Warrior Battalion.
  • Provide professional assistance to the Substance and Alcohol Rehabilitation Program (SARP) as requested.
  • Provide therapeutic treatment and evaluation of patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Combat Stress Disorder, and Traumatic Brain Injury.
  • Provide psychological assessment and treatment of individuals confined in the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Brig, as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

:
Possess a minimum of two years postgraduate experience within the last three years as a Clinical Psychologist.

  • Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited university
  • Successful completion of a psychologist intern program which has been approved by the APA
  • Experience as a Clinical Psychologist that includes evaluation and treatment of Post
    - Traumatic Stress disorder and related mental health issues.
  • Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a psychologist in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
