Associate Director - Business Affairs (LATAM Studio Content)

Spotify is seeking an outstanding candidate to join our studio licensing team, to be based in Miami, FL. The Manager's primary focus will be to lead the evaluation, structuring, and negotiation of podcast content licensing deals for LATAM. The Manager will work with creative, marketing, and advertising executives to manage a slate of podcast deals and will help with ongoing strategy development, communication with key partners, and operationalization of new deals. The ideal candidate will have shown expertise in dealmaking for the entertainment and/or digital content industries, as well as excellent communication skills for external and internal dealmaking leadership. This role will report to the Global Head of Business Affairs (Podcasts) and will partner closely with Spotify's LATAM Studio team. What You'll DoYou will structure and negotiate content development, production, and licensing deals with talent and studios, with a focus on original and exclusive podcasts. You will collaborate with members of the Spotify Studio team on content strategy, product and other experiences crafted to evolve and grow Spotify's podcast content offerings. You will work closely with internal teams including Finance, Insights, Legal, Marketing, and Growth. You will work out of the Miami office. Who you areYou have received your business or law degree (MBA or JD equivalent) and have a minimum of 5+ years of legal/business affairs or content licensing experience. Fluent in Spanish, possibly Portuguese, and have experience with the content business and negotiation practices in one or more LATAM territories. Experience in multinational media and/or technology organizations. Highly self-motivated and thrive in high-growth and high-paced, dynamic, multifaceted business environments. Technical expertise with legal and business issues relating to the development, production, and distribution of audio or audiovisual content. You understand financial models and are able to craft and deliver presentations in Powerpoint and Keynote. Willing to travel and work in different time zones as needed. You are an effective communicator and negotiator. Exceptionally organized with attention to detail. You adapt swiftly and seamlessly to changing business needs.
